Carly
First and foremost, I'm a Mama to two children, who continue to be my greatest teachers.
I hold a Bachelor of Midwifery/Bachelor of Nursing, and a Master of Primary Maternity Care. I have supported families from many different cultures throughout the childbearing journey between Australia and Indonesia, working across homebirth, tiny clinics, remote outreach and larger hospitals. I was a long-term volunteer at Bumi Sehat birthing clinic in Bali between 2012 and 2017. I currently live and work in Bali, Indonesia,
The transformative birth of my first child in 2018 led me to become an IBCLC and an Aware Parenting Instructor, as I experienced firsthand how intertwined it all was. Becoming a mother taught me that in order to care for our children, we must deeply care for ourselves. For the past decade, I have supported parents from conception throughout the childbearing journey and into parenthood. It is a privilege to share this space with people.
I invite people to take ownership of their experiences during their childbearing, infant feeding and parenting journeys and recognise that they are their own experts. I believe that people's intuition can be their greatest asset, and I am passionate about offering a space where people can feel seen and held, and know that they are not alone.
I love the beach, exploring new places, going camping and music. I also love to travel, and a lot of my travel destinations are motivated by good food or beautiful nature!
