My name is Meg and I am a Melbourne-based Mum and Social Worker with 20 years of counselling experience, working predominantly in the pregnancy, birth and early parenthood space.

I practice from a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, and I believe in the healing power of sharing stories - that when we are heard, held and honoured, we all have the innate ability to heal.

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours, and a Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Supervision, and I've had rich and varied work experiences in Australia, New Zealand and Scotland. I’ve supported mothers from all walks of life, and I’m always moved by the capacity and drive of women to step into their power in motherhood and forge a new path for their family, regardless of their background.

I currently work in a tertiary hospital providing specialist training and clinical supervision to health professionals supporting parents and babies who have experienced trauma, as well as birth debriefing and counselling for parents through my business.

I am a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW,) an accredited Circle of Security facilitator, and a certified Newborn Observation practitioner. I'm also an Aware Parenting-instructor-in-training and Women's Circle Facilitator-in-training. I've completed the Birth Debriefing Mentorship with B Lack and Lael Stone, along with countless other courses and workshops related to pregnancy, birth, parenting, grief, loss, addiction and trauma.

Parenting and Partnering Support

Parenting can be challenging to navigate. If you’re finding it hard, and somewhat overwhelming, you are not alone. It can be easy to lose connection with yourself, your partner and your children. In these one-on-one support sessions, we dive into feelings of rage, emotional expression, partner resentment, parenting and relationship hardships, and how you can centre yourself as a mother or parent in order to rediscover the joy in both parenting and partnering. We can talk through anything you need.
