I don’t think I let go of this baby the whole way through my vbac. I was able to have my dream non-medicated birth squeezing this and it probably saved my husbands hand too :) highly recommend!
After having 2 babies already, I was looking for something else to help during the labour of my third, and I don’t think I let go of this comb for the duration of my labour, it was a great tool to help through those contractions.
I just had my first baby using nothing but this birthing comb and a tens machine, i found it to be very effective and highly recommend!
Super fast postage with a cute little note on the packaging.
Comb was amazing. Use this for my first birth; did it pain relief free with only this comb and a breathing technique learnt from B. Highly recommend the comb! A bloody good distraction at the very least. And saved my partners hand!
A powerful but simple tool to help with pain management in labour.
Combs have been used in birthing for centuries and at one stage midwives were taught about using them for pain relief in labour. The teeth of the comb applies acupressure to points the hand that create a distraction and a new focal point for the brain to concentrate on. It also plays a part in the gate control pain theory, nerve endings in your hand send messages to the brain and distract it away from the sensations of contractions.
Use as a natural pain management tool
The comb is made of wood to provide relief without causing tenderness
The teeth of the comb are held to the base of the fingers which helps to relieve pain.
